The Canadian part of the trip.

The USA trip highlighted on the map.

Caught in our first lazy sunday.

Our new home. We have a nice view of a mountain and of lots of trees from our table. Hopefully we will soon see the moose that have been visiting the garden lately.

Town of Chicken, Alaska. Local bar with their collection of baseball hats and underware.

Welcome to Alaska!

Dawson city from above.

Gold dredge - A giant contraption that was used to find gold.

Dawson city. Lots of beautiful restored buildings. Unfortunately the rest of our buildings pictures didn't succeed very well because there was too much sunlight. And we didn't want to wait for the (near midnight) sunset to take pictures.

Dawson city. When you build on permafrost you need to make sure to build it on poles so the soil doesn't warm up. These houses were not and are now very sloping.

Sheri always made fun of me when I suggested that the campsite should have a fire pit. But when we finally have one, it turns out that she is the biggest pyromaniac.
